Several years ago while with another company Robert came in to engage and coach site leadership and supervision as we were trying to drive improved performance and work through some organizational challenges. That positive experience led me to bring Robert in to assist me with some significant challenges in my current position as plant manager. (Issue = complete turnover of the site management team, and a major change in operating philosophy)
In the current case Robert has been instrumental in coaching the site management team as well as the first line supervisors. Specific areas of focus included, improving communications at all levels and working with supervisors and managers to help them improve accountability and performance throughout the site. While high standards can be set, it’s the execution that is difficult. Execution technique is as important as having the plan. I have found that while companies have strength in technology, production methodologies, and planning it is rare that they have effective methods of coaching and assisting new, or even experienced managers with the challenges of “effectively” communicating with or motivating their employees. This is where Robert’s experience has its greatest effect. Taking the talent that exists within the individual and maximizing their ability to impact results through effective and consistent coaching. Coaching is frequently overlooked as a way of improving results. We talk about it, but in general most managers are not equipped to provide the candid and confidential coaching that is really needed. We assess performance but typically don’t coach to success. Robert helps fill that gap. I can highly recommend Robert as a management coach."
